perfect for those producers already practicing natural procedures and want to see the benefit of those practices realized at
sale time. When your cattle are Verified Natural Beef™ verified they will meet the requirements of the USDA’s NeverEver3
Program, making them eligible for verified all-natural marketing claims.

To meet growing consumer concerns regarding animal welfare and handling, IMI created a Humane Handling third party verification program under our USDA Process Verified Program. The Standard was developed by NCBA and Dr. Temple Grandin, world-renowned Animal Handling Specialist. IMI took the NCBA's BQA Feedlot Assessment Guidelines and requested a review and approval from Dr. Grandin. Based on those guidelines and additional elements added by Dr. Grandin, the standard was established. IMI is currently auditing to that specific standard and has approved its first feedlot, Dinklage of Colorado, with a Humane Handling claim under IMI's USDA Process Verified Program. IMI's auditing team was trained first hand by Dr. Grandin on how to best audit for this claim.
